Motorcoach to Ann Arbor Street Fair


The library will be traveling with S & S Travel to the 54th Annual Ann Arbor Street Fair on Thursday July 18
there are still seats available. The cost is $38.00. We will be leaving from the Country Fair Shopping Center
at 7:30 am and returning 7:30 pm. Stop into the library for more information and to get a seat!!!

Lunch and Learn with Kay Carter






On July 27 Kay Carter will present "Essential Oils and Your Health." You will learn what essential oils are, the production, general properties, quality and purity, basic methods of application and the safe and effective
use of this healing modality.
Chef Linda Hankins owner of Aprons INN will serve a fabulous gourmet lunch.
The time is 11:30 am-to 1:00 pm.

More on the History of Lake James

As a follow up on their book, A History of Lake James, authors Jim Somers and Flaim Cupp will present
additional material about the history of their dear lake. Included will be old maps that were too large
to fit in the book, more beach stories, reviews of centennial cottage on the lake, old cottage names
and a proposal to document the path of the electric train line from Angola to Lake James.
Marvin Blanchard, a band member of Beldsoe's will tell some stories about the resort in the 40's.
Copies of A History of Lake James are available for sale in the Reference Department.

 Understanding Social Security-A Look at the Bigger Picture

Join Mark Sanborn on Tuesday July 23 at 6:00 pm for this educational seminar where you will learn key facts about the social security program including: How benefits are calculated, Full Retirement age and choosing the right time to retire, Receiving benefits while working, Provisional income and tax implications options for spouses and ex spouses.
