Best Selling author Brian Freeman will be visiting the library on Saturday Sept. 10 at 2:00 pm. We have a selection of his books available to checkout. Just bring in your library card and read an edge of your seat thriller.

Basket Weaving Class with Karen!

Due to popular demand, the first class filled up so quickly Karen is offering a second class on Monday September 12 from 5-8 pm. All supplies are furnished and the cost is $15.00. Karen Griffith is the instructor and owner of Farmer's Wives Baskets in Pleasant Lake. She will take you through step by step and you will leave with a finished basket, how fun! Amateur Photography Contest Set to Begin

The 4th Annual Photography Contest will be held September 12 to October 24. You must be 16 years of age to enter. Pick up the rules and entry forms at the front desk. The category is open and you can submit two 8 x 10 matted photos. The judges this year will be Barbara Knights Hale, Shawn Holmquist and Dean Orewiler. An awards ceremony will be held Thursday evening at 6:30 pm on Oct. 27. All cash prize winners will be announced and receive their awards. The People's Choice will be voted on from Oct. 25 to Oct. 27 and announced at the ceremony. We request that you be present this evening and that all winners will be photographed for press. This event is being sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Classics From Here to There Oct. 4 at 1:00 pm.

A new afternoon book discussion group is now forming. The first book selection is "Frankenstein" by Mary Shelly. Multiple copies are available for those participating. This monthly book discussion group is geared to classic literature and will be led by Marty Miller. They will meet the first Tuesday of each month at 1:00 pm. Contact 665-3362x24 for more info.
